iCool

For iCool’s phone case designs, we created a series featuring modern interpretations of Korea’s iconic tiger, using fluid linework and simplified oriental motifs. The first design draws inspiration from Joseon white porcelain through a refined blue and white palette, abstracting traditional patterns into contemporary compositions. This approach evolved through the collection – from a playful mint version with kitschy charm to a shimmering holographic design that references the iridescent beauty of mother-of-pearl inlay.

The design system adapts these cultural elements thoughtfully across each case variant while maintaining a cohesive style through consistent line quality and pattern arrangement. Each piece offers a distinct mood – elegant porcelain-inspired restraint, bold contemporary kitsch, and luminous pearl-like shimmer – while keeping the tiger motif as a unifying element. This approach helps iCool deliver phone cases that feel both culturally rich and freshly modern.
